Dean Gonsowski




As Vice President of Business Development at kCura, Dean works closely with key enterprise customers, partners, and government agencies to enable them with more effective technology adoption for evolving e-Discovery purposes. He is also leading initiatives to empower and grow Relativity’s vibrant user community while evangelizing customers’ day-to-day needs and identifying nascent trends.

A former litigator, General Counsel and Associate General Counsel, Dean has more than 20 years’ experience in litigation, e-Discovery, information governance and cybersecurity, driving growth at companies including Recommind, Symantec, Clearwell Systems, Daticon, Navigant Consulting and Fios, Inc.

Dean is a member of The Sedona Conference Working Group on Electronic Document Retention and Production (WG1), the Electronic Discovery Reference Model (EDRM) and the Association of Corporate Counsel (ACC). He also serves as an advisor to the Legal Technology Professionals Institute and on the steering committee of the Electronic Discovery Institute’s Leadership Summit.

Dean’s articles appeared in a number of leading industry publications including Business Week, Corporate Counsel, ILTA Peer to Peer, Inside Counsel and the Legal Tech Newsletter. He has been quoted in some primary business publications, including the Financial Times, Forbes, Wired, and MSNBC.

Dean is the co-author of Cybercrime and Cloud Forensics: Applications for Investigation Processes, a collection of research and case studies of applications for investigation processes in cloud computing environments.
Dean has been speaking at various industry events, including The Computer Forensics Show, International Legal Technology Association, Legal IQ/IQPC eDiscovery Series, LegalTech New York and the Masters Conference, where he provided expert commentary on information governance, analytics and the best practices for managing unstructured data in the corporate environment.

Dean has a JD from the University of San Diego School of Law and a BS from the University of California, Santa Barbara. He is a licensed attorney in both California and Colorado.
